Following
graduation from Tulane University in 1988, Keith was commissioned
as an officer in the United States Navy. He served in Operation
Earnest Will and the First Gulf War, twice earning the Navy
Achievement Medal. Keith graduated from the University of
South Carolina School of Law in 1995, having served as Articles
Editor of the South Carolina Law Review. He practiced with
Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman from 1995-2004, focusing
on commercial litigation and alternative forms of dispute
resolution. Keith has significant experience representing
banks and other financial institutions in consumer-related
matters, including the defense of several consumer class action
lawsuits.
He is a member of the board of directors of the York County
Board of Disabilities and Special Needs, a board member of
the York County Public Defender Corporation, and is a past
board member and president of the York County Teen Pregnancy
Prevention Council.
